Abstract types

The topic should be relevant to the theme.
Case reports / case series / original research paper.
Preference will be given to original research papers
Topics on genetics will be encouraged.
Abstracts must be original, unpublished and not presented elsewhere.

Presentation Types

Oral presentation in the form of a PowerPoint presentation
E-Poster

Format:

Abstract should be in English language, Times New Roman font, size 12, double-spaced
Length not more than 250 words.
Title of the Abstract, Author name/s to be Mentioned. Presenting author should be Underlined.

Submission:

As a Microsoft Word document (.doc or.docx)
File name: Last name-first name-Abstract title
Title
Concise, maximum 20 words and must be reflective of the study.
Introduction
Briefly introduce the research topic and context.
Aims and objectives
Must be a clear statement of research aim(s).
Methodology
Describe concisely the design, methods, procedures and equipment used.
Results
2-3 summarizing key results and discoveries
Conclusion

Instructions for oral Presentation:

Presentation should be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation
PPT should be compatible with Microsoft Office 2010
Maximum number of slides permitted is 15
Presentation should be under headings-introduction, Aims and objectives, Methodology, results/observations, Discussion, Conclusion and references (Vancouver style)
First slide should include title, name of the authors (presenting author underlined), qualification, designation and institute
Font type –Arial, font size for the title should be 32 and for the text should be 24
Maximum time allowed for the presentation- 10 minutes (7 min. presentation and 3 minutes for question-answer session)

Instructions for Poster Presentation

Only e-posters will be accepted
The Presentation should be under headings-Introduction, Aims and Objectives, Methodology, Results/Observations, Discussion, Conclusion and References (Vancouver style)
Avoid jargon and use simple language
Total time for presentation 5-7 minutes
The poster should be in the form of a single slide, Landscape view
